Wyatt Williams is an Economic Transformation Associate at the New York Climate Exchange. Originally from Washington, D.C. and Jamaica, Wyatt brings experience as a sustainability consultant, having supported Fortune 500 companies, including major consumer goods brands, global technology companies, and retailers, in implementing climate action strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals. As an Engineer at Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc., he collaborated directly with local governments and industry to implement circularity practices in their solid waste management systems, including recovery emissions modeling, designing material recovery facilities, and performing solid waste characterization studies. Wyatt earned his Master’s of Science in Environmental Engineering and MBA from Georgia Tech, where he was a researcher within the Social Equity and Environmental Engineering Lab and the Center for Sustainable Communities Research and Education. His research focused on identifying, benchmarking, and implementing equitable sustainability programs aimed at accelerating the circular economy, advancing a just energy transition, developing the green workforce, and supporting institutional decarbonization. Through the Social Equity and Environmental Engineering Lab, he created models to enable University-owned fleet electrification transitions and advised global delivery companies on fleet electrification based on financial feasibility, user behavior, and lifecycle carbon considerations. His research has been published in journals such as Nature Scientific Reports and the Journal of Science Policy & Governance.
