Managing Director

Julius Court is the Managing Director at The New York Climate Exchange, leading strategy, people, finances, partnerships and delivery of integrated and scalable climate solutions.

Julius is a global executive dedicated to delivering impact for people and the planet. Before joining The Exchange, Julius served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Conservation International. He directed global operational strategy and effectiveness as well as strengthening nature finance and leading an award-winning team on AI.

Julius previously built a distinguished career in diplomacy and international development with the British Government. His senior executive roles included Deputy High Commissioner and Development Director to Kenya, Head of the UK Government’s Prosperity Fund, and Head of the Department for International Development’s Strategy Unit. He also held postings in Nigeria, Ethiopia and Japan.
