Climate Week NYC at The New York Climate Exchange

The Exchange is transforming Governors Island into the most important new hub for Climate Week engagement.

Drawing on expertise from our partners and other leading global voices, we will be hosting more than 20 events that showcase cutting-edge climate tech, compare the most effective urban resilience strategies, and unlock climate financing at scale.

Here's our event lineup and the Governors Island ferry schedule.

Getting to the island

Governors Island is only available by boat. Whether you take the GI ferry (from Lower Manhattan) or NYC Ferry (from south Brooklyn) you’ll be on the island in less than 10 minutes!

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

What you need to know

What's BMB?

The Battery Maritime Building is located at 10 South Street, at the tip of Manhattan. This is the most common way to get to Governors Island.

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your ferry departure time!

Soissons Landing

This entrance to Governors Island is directly across from the BMB, and takes about eight minutes to reach. This is also the most common way to depart the island. Enjoy the skyline views on your way back to Manhattan!

You will not need to show your ticket when you exit the island.
