Climate Week NYC at
The New York Climate Exchange

We’re transforming Governors Island into the most important new hub for Climate Week participation!

Drawing on expertise from our partners and other leading global voices, we will be hosting or co-hosting nearly 30 events, on and off Governors Island, that showcase cutting-edge climate tech, compare the most effective urban resilience strategies, and unlock climate financing at scale.

Here's our Climate Week event lineup, including Power Down & Get Outside: A Climate Week Culmination, hosted by The Exchange & the Trust for Governors Island.

Getting around Governors Island

Governors Island is pedestrian only, and accessible by foot and bike. The Exchange will be holding events in Building 309 and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Arts Center at Governors Island.

Getting to the island

What's BMB?
The Battery Maritime Building is located at 10 South Street, at the tip of Manhattan. This is the most common way to get to Governors Island.
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your ferry departs!

Soissons Landing

This entrance to Governors Island is directly across the water from the BMB, and takes about eight minutes to reach. Enjoy the skyline views on your way back to Manhattan!
You will not need to show a ticket to exit the island.

Governors Island is only accessible by boat. Whether you take the Gov Island ferry (from Lower Manhattan) or NYC Ferry (from south Brooklyn) you’ll be on the island in less than 10 minutes!
