Allison Piper
Senior Project Associate
Allison Piper (she/they) is a Senior Project Associate at the New York Climate Exchange, where she coordinates key cross-functional projects for the Finance and Administration team, maintains effective communication across departments, and ensures timely, high-quality project results.
Piper is a long-time climate advocate with experience managing projects in academic, political, private, and non-profit settings. She previously coordinated partnerships with public health authorities and public utilities at Biobot Analytics, a wastewater epidemiology start-up, which provided data insights instrumental to local counter-pandemic efforts. Before that, she served as a recruiter for field directors and canvassers for voter registration campaigns. She began her environmental advocacy as a political volunteer for Citizens’ Climate Lobby and later as an organizer with the Harvard Fossil Fuel Divest movement. A graduate of Terra.do’s Climate Change: Learning for Action fellowship, Piper believes in using a global systems lens to address the climate crisis.
Based in Brooklyn, Piper graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies. Outside of work, she enjoys learning (and then butchering) new recipes, painting, and hooping at her local park.
