Aja Two Crows

Community Initiatives Associate

Aja Two Crows (she/her) serves as community initiatives associate at the New York Climate Exchange where she supports programming initiatives and public education through collaborations with the Exchange’s community partners.

Aja is passionate about advocating for climate and environmental justice. She has worked across the climate sector to support climate action through programming, storytelling, and education. She previously worked with the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary to develop programming and program strategy that engages in deep, timely, and actionable conversations surrounding topics like ecology, Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge, climate change and earth ethics. Before CEE, Aja worked at TômTex Co., a startup working on biodegradable leather alternatives, developing their storytelling strategies. Aja has also worked at Terreform ONE, a regenerative architecture firm, managing their ONE Lab summer environmental program for high schoolers in partnership with the DOE and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

A native of Los Angeles, Aja graduated in 2021 from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in creative non-fiction writing. With lineages from Korea and the Bitterroot Salish of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Aja greatly appreciation for the intersectionality of climate work.
